Strategic Objective

To develop student assessment and examination systems within the Higher Education institutes to achieve the intended learning outcomes of the academic programs aligned with the national academic reference standards as on of the requirements of accreditation.

Specific Objectives

This project aims to:

Disseminate the culture of developing assessment as an approach to educational reform and improvement and assuring its quality.

Formulation of specifications and criteria for student assessment in the different academic programs and prepare the essential guidelines based on the adopted academic reference standards.

Support educational institutes to construct the required infrastructure to follow contemporary mechanisms in managing assessment systems within the institutes to guarantee speed, precision and transparency; inorder to incorporate pre-assessment (to identify the knowledge structure of students before enrolling in any program), formative and continuous assessments during the program, and final summative assessment towards the end of the program to adjust the course of the educational process from beginning to end.

Compose question banks in the different specializations in view of the objectives and the standards adopted by each specialization and incorporate them within the data bases of the educational institutes and enrich these banks occasionally.

Encourage universities and senior students to participate in achievement tests for international universities or their equivalent as one of the guarantees of the quality of the educational outcomes and the capacity to international competitiveness (University Achievement Exams UAE) .

  Adopting electronic exams and evaluation systems in the different specializations within the educational institutes that reflect the identity of the institute in view of its official mission and the capabilities of enrolled students .
