The project aims to reach autonomous institutional capacity engaging in continuous improvement according to distinguished quality standards, that always guarantees qualification for accreditation.

Specific Objectives

The project aims to

Generate a competitive environment that nurtures continuous improvement in faculties, universities and scientific departments.

  Encourage decentralization trend for autonomy, self improvement, and sustainable development in accordance with acceptable quality standards.

  Upgrade capacity of the faculties and the academic society to accommodate contemporary scientific specializations, interdisciplinary and innovative fields.

  Consolidate the culture of quality in academic development and adopt the concepts of comprehensive quality as a fundamental component in the strategic planning.

  Reinforce relationships and associations between higher education institutes, society, industry and the labor market.

  Maximize and support the benefit from the available information systems, data sources, laboratories and infrastructure.

  Utilize contemporary technologies in teaching and learning.

  Improve the quality of the graduates and enhance their competitive capabilities on the local, regional and international levels.

  Upgrade the quality of scientific research and enhance its ability to respond to the needs of society and the development of industry and the environment.

  Qualify a number of  faculties to apply for and obtain accreditation from the National authority for quality assurance and accreditation for education.

Expected Outcomes

      By the implantation of the above objectives, the program is expected to:

        Capable bodies trained and qualified to perform the duties of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

        The strategic plans prepared, adopted and applied by the faculties submitting to projects.

        The extent of direct and indirect collaboration between the faculty, and production and service sectors and society in terms of formulating and developing and participating in academic programs and research.

        The scope of the achieved development and the extent of ensuring its sustainability (human resources, financial and institutional).

        Reference academic and institutional standards set forth by the faculty.

        Number of qualified faculties that have applied and awarded accreditation.
